Do I need to install software in order to access my project information?
No, you can begin accessing information shared by other team members immediately using only an Internet Explorer browser provided you meet the above system requirements. See "How do I login to ProjectNet® STE?" below. Citadon also offers an alternative client which allows you to access the same project information directly through Windows File Explorer. That client is installed similar to other software applications through a short program setup wizard. See "Where can I download the ProjectNet® STE setup file?" for information about how to install that software.

Where can I download the ProjectNet® STE setup file?
The ProjectNet® STE desktop client can be downloaded at www.citadon.com. Click on the Support tab, select ProjectNet® STE and choose Download from the menu on the left side of the page.

What if I already have Citadon CWTM installed?
ProjectNet® STE is designed to allow small teams to begin collaborating quickly and efficiently. It does not include several of the advanced capabilities available in Citadon CW. Citadon CW customers are welcome to use the ProjectNet® STE client to access their workspaces, but users cannot have both clients installed at the same time.

How large is the setup file and how long will the download take?
The file is approximately 18.5MB*. The download time will depend on your connection speed and network conditions. Below are some approximate times for different Internet connections.

  • 1.544 M T1 ~ 1 Minute
  • 768K DSL ~ 3 Minutes
  • 128K ISDN ~ 20 Minutes
  • 56K Modem ~ 46 Minutes

* Note: The Microsoft® .NET Framework is required. If your operating system does not already have the .NET Framework installed, the size of the download will be larger

How do I login to ProjectNet® STE?
To login through the ProjectNet® STE Web Access client using only an Internet Explorer browser, navigate to www.citadon.com , click on the Login tab, then click on the Login button for ProjectNet® STE.

What is the ProjectNet® STE desktop client?
You can login to ProjectNet® STE desktop client in any of the following ways:

  • Double click on the ProjectNet® STE shortcut on your desktop
  • Double click on My Computer, then double click on the ProjectNet® STE icon listed beneath your local drives
  • Click on the Start button, then select Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer. Double click on the ProjectNet® STE icon listed beneath your local drives
  • Right click on the Start button and choose Explore, then double click on the ProjectNet® STE icon listed beneath your local drives

How can I see a folder directory view rather than drilling down one folder at a time?
Depending on how you open Windows Explorer, the folder structure may or may not be displayed. To show or hide the folder structure choose View>Explorer Bar>Folders from the menu or click on the "Folders" button on the toolbar.

How do I log out?
To log out of ProjectNet® STE, select the ProjectNet® STE icon and choose Log Out from the File menu. If you close Windows Explorer without logging out of ProjectNet® STE, your Citadon session will remain active and the next time you open Windows Explorer, you will be able to navigate to ProjectNet® STE without needing to login again. However, if you exceed your session expiration time limit, you may be prompted to re-enter your password the next time you attempt to access ProjectNet® STE. If you shutdown your PC and restart it without first logging out, you will be prompted that your previous session is still active and you will be allowed to reset it.

How do I display additional attributes?
ProjectNet® STE allows you to show or hide many of the standard document and folder attributes by right clicking on the column headers in Windows Explorer and selecting or deselecting the attributes to display. You can also resize the column widths and reposition the column locations by dragging and dropping column headers. Your selections can be different for each folder and once set, will be displayed in the same way the next time you navigate to the folder. To apply your current folder view settings to all Citadon folders, select Tools>Folder Options, click on the View tab and click on the "Like Current Folder" button.

How can I modify my preferences?
User preferences can currently only be set through ProjectNet® STE Web Access. To access user preferences, login to ProjectNet® STE Web Access and select User Preferences.

Can I access information through ProjectNet® STE when I am disconnected from the Internet?
Access to ProjectNet® STE is currently only available with an active Internet connection.
